I have been looking to get some help on SEO in the past few weeks. This is no easy task. There are so many different companies and individuals. Each one offering different type of services and specialties.

In my search, I ran across SEO Scoop. They were recommended by SEOMoz (seems to be one of the bigger/most reputable SEO companies). Beyond their normal services, SEO Scoop offers free SEO advice. You can submit a question and get an answer from an expert. This is a great option if you have something simple that you need help with.

Tigers In The World Series

An amazing thing has happened - the Detroit Tigers have made it to the world series! After years and years of losing, it is hard to believe. Miracles do come true! It seems that the Detroit team is a team of destiny. They did not finish strong, and many counted them out. However, with the playoffs starting, they treated it as a new season. And boy, what a new season it has been. They have been 7 and 1 so far in the playoffs. They made the Yankess and As look amateur.

For those making the trip to Detroit for a game or to take in the atmosphere, below is a good article that outlines some top things to do.

It was really meant to be the "peoples car". He wanted to a car that was affordable enough for the average worker. It was actually Ferdinand Porsche who developed the car in the early 1930's. It was in the early 1950's that the Beetle really hit its stride in sales.

I am not sure how I would utilize this, however, I could imagine a few domains that could take advantage of this.

Detroit Tigers Make The Playoffs

It is amazing - the Detroit Tigers have made the playoffs. In Detroit, there has been at least ten years of bad baseball. When I say bad baseball, I mean really bad baseball. When I was young, I remember watching following the Tigers every summer. I could name all the players and key elements of how they played. This years season has once again given me reason to watch the Tigers. I have forgotten how great baseball can be. I am sure there are many other Detroiters who feel very much the same as I do.

Have not seen a ton of traffic to my other lenses. However, it is still early. I do enjoy creating them and I can use them to link back to one our sites.

I have also yet to make any money on the lenses. As I said above, it is still early. Lets wait and see if they get some traction in Google/MSN/Yahoo.

Searchwarp Article Statistics

The one thing I like about publishing articles at Searchwarp is that they give you statistics on how often you article is being viewed. This is good. However, they also take it a step further and give you the keywords which the article is being found under. Below is an example.

We published an article on the History And Benefits Of Ginger about a month ago. In our stats, we can see that we getting a good number of hits this article based on the keyword below.

Using iSnare For Article Distribution

We have been using iSnare for article distribution lately. Have been very pleased with their service. It does take a few days to get articles approved, however, I prefer a site that does quality assurance and does just distribute everything the receive. There is a small fee of $2 for distribution to what they is 40,000 publishers and hundreds of article sites.

If I take one of the articles that we have distributed -- titled ""Lake Como, Italy - My View Of The Lake" -- I can see that there are 128 references to it in Google. This is pretty good for the $2 distribution fee charged by iSnare.

Selling On Amazon And Neatoscan

I was surprised to find out that we could generate some good money from selling our used cds and books on Amazon. These are items that had been collecting dust around the house and just filling up valuable space. We had initially listed approximately two hundred items. Out of these two hundred items, we have sold about eighty of them. On average day, we sell around three items. At first, it was a bit of a task to package up the items and visit the post office to ship the items. We now have a system down that makes it pretty easy.

We were thinking of expanding the concept and purchasing some used books to sell. We found a few devices that help with the "scouting" process. One that looks very promising is Neatoscan. It allows you to use a PDA in conjunction with scanner to find sales rank data at Amazon and id if it would be a profitable book to purchase and resell.

Starting with your blog is not a simple thing. There are many things to learn - such as:

- Which service to go with (blogger, typepad, etc...)
- How to publish your blog (rss feeds? feedster? ice rocket? etc?)
- How often you should add posts.
- Managing stats.
- etc...

In two days, I have learned in a bit. I figure there is still much to learn.

They are a non-profit in the business of deconstructing houses. I was able to get really nice wood flooring from the 20's for a great price. The flooring needed to be refinished - however, this would be the same process as if you had bought the flooring new. Beyond flooring, they have some really great unique items. Squidoo - Being A Lens Master

Recently, I uncovered the website Squidoo. I try to keep up with things, but this site has slipped passed my radar since it's launch. The brain behind this site is Seth Godin. He is a marketing type person who was originally behind Yoyodyne, a site/firm that was purchased by Yahoo! in the late nineties.

Creating a lens on Squidoo is pretty easy and good fun. So far, I have created three lenses:

- All About American Samoa

- Prefab Sprout

- Schoenhut Dolls

- Red Wines... Warm, Rich, Full Bodied

The site "All About American" samoa is already in the top 1000 lenses.

I am working towards getting one in the top 100.

Creating a lens is not only a fun activity, but you also have the possibility of making some money. Squidoo splits profits with people who create lenses and charity.
