Recently, I uncovered the website Squidoo. I try to keep up with things, but this site has slipped passed my radar since it's launch. The brain behind this site is Seth Godin. He is a marketing type person who was originally behind Yoyodyne, a site/firm that was purchased by Yahoo! in the late nineties.
Creating a lens on Squidoo is pretty easy and good fun. So far, I have created three lenses:
- All About American Samoa
- Prefab Sprout
- Schoenhut Dolls
- Red Wines... Warm, Rich, Full Bodied
The site "All About American" samoa is already in the top 1000 lenses.
I am working towards getting one in the top 100.
Creating a lens is not only a fun activity, but you also have the possibility of making some money. Squidoo splits profits with people who create lenses and charity.
